On October 24, the reporter came to the Yangtze River automobile production workshop to see that on the production lines of stamping, welding, painting and final assembly, workers are busy with full horsepower production. On the road outside the factory, a trailer full of light trucks set off in full gear, about to transport a "Guizhou brand" electric truck to all parts of the country. 

Founded in July 2016, Changjiang Automobile covers an area of more than 1,800 mu with an investment of 4 billion yuan. In the past, due to the impact of the industry downturn and the novel coronavirus epidemic, enterprises had difficulties in production and operation. In recent years, especially since the beginning of this year, the "Guizhou brand" electric trucks produced by the company have been favored by the market and exported to many domestic places. 

The sudden emergence of "Guizhou brand" electric trucks benefited from the implementation of policies such as "Electric Guizhou". As an important energy base and national ecological civilization pilot zone in China, in recent years, Guizhou has successively issued policy documents such as the Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the high-quality Development of the new energy Automobile Industry and Promoting the construction of "Electric Guizhou", the Work Plan on Accelerating the Promotion and application of Electric Heavy trucks in the energy Field, based on the new energy battery and material industry. Build the whole industrial chain from new energy batteries and new energy materials to new energy vehicles. 

Seize the opportunity and ride the wave. Since 2021, Changjiang Automobile has seized policy opportunities such as "Electric Guizhou", cooperated with domestic industry leaders on the basis of original plants and equipment, integrated talents, technology, market and other resources, and ushered in "butterfly change". 

"Our positioning is clear and precise, which is to target the new energy commercial vehicle market and produce pure electric trucks." Changjiang Motor operations director Jin Liang said. 

Jin Liang introduced that Changjiang Automobile has built production lines, testing lines, research and development centers, and public power systems of the four processes of stamping, welding, painting and final assembly, and has vehicle development capabilities. 

The excellent strength of Changjiang Automobile has won a number of honors and certifications. At present, the company has 91 independent patents, including 82 utility model patents, 5 invention patents and 4 appearance patents, which have been recognized as national high-tech enterprises; On December 30, 2022, the company obtained the national Ministry of Industry and Information Technology pure electric truck production qualification, the company's light truck, heavy truck and other series of pure electric truck products have been certified by the national Ministry of Industry and Information Technology product announcement; In 2023, it was rated as a "specialized and special new" enterprise in Guizhou Province. 

"At present, Changjiang Automobile is the only state-owned modern new energy automobile manufacturing enterprise in the province that integrates the research and development, production, sales and service of pure electric trucks, which makes up for the vacancy in the province and plays an important role in the province's new energy industry chain." Jin Liang said. 

Focus on electric "heavy truck" to build local brands 

In the early stage of developing new energy commercial vehicles, Changjiang Motor mainly produces pure electric light trucks, and will put into operation a pure electric light truck production line in December 2022. 

"By optimizing the process flow of the light truck production line, we have increased the production tempo from 1JPH to 3JPH, that is, 24 vehicles can be produced per day, and the production tempo will be further increased in the future." Jin Liang said that at present, the light truck has achieved full sequence mass production and is in the stage of climbing production. 

While promoting the acceleration of light truck production, since last year, Changjiang Automobile has focused on the "electric Guizhou" strategy and independently developed a series of "Guizhou brand" heavy truck products with leading technology and adapting to market differentiation, and strives to build a local new energy brand. 

"We independently developed seven pure electric trucks and have started production and delivery in April." Jin Liang introduced that as an important part of new energy commercial vehicles, electric heavy trucks with its zero emissions, strong power, high efficiency, high safety and other significant advantages, is gradually becoming a new engine for the transformation and upgrading of coal transportation in Guizhou province, compared with traditional fuel heavy trucks, electric heavy trucks have lower operating costs. 

After the launch of the "Guizhou brand" heavy truck, the market response was good, and the monthly sales in April entered the top ten in the country. In recent months, with the support of the relevant departments of the province and Guiyang GUI 'an, Yangtze River Automobile has actively expanded the market, and the sales of "Guizhou brand" pure electric heavy trucks have been popular. 

On June 25, at the Guizhou Province new energy truck production and marketing docking meeting held by Changjiang Automobile, nine customers such as Guizhou Qianman Yun Suzhi Logistics Technology Co., Ltd. signed a purchase agreement for 500 sets of "Guizhou brand" pure electric heavy trucks. On October 12, at the Guizhou Province energy field electric heavy truck promotion meeting held in Jinsha County, Bijie City, eight coal mining enterprises signed a letter of intent for procurement cooperation and purchased 210 sets of "Guizhou brand" pure electric heavy trucks. 

"The electric heavy truck can travel about 60,000 kilometers a year, which can save about 180,000 yuan of fuel money, which can achieve the effect of energy saving and cost reduction." Li Jun, general manager of Guizhou Qianman Yun Suzhi Logistics Technology Co., LTD., said that the purchased electric heavy trucks are mainly used for coal transportation from coal mines to power plants, which is about 40 to 70 kilometers per one-way trip, which is very economical and environmentally friendly. 

At the same time, Changjiang Motor pay close attention to marketing, production and delivery, since the beginning of this year, gradually in Chongqing, Changsha, Nanning and other 32 cities to open direct stores, electric trucks are exported to Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Sichuan and other places, this year has accumulated production of various models of nearly 10,000 units. 

Today, the "Guizhou brand" electric heavy truck has gained fame and has become a bright business card of the company and even Guizhou's new energy commercial vehicle field. 

Promote the coordinated development of industry chain around vehicle manufacturing 

The transformation of new energy commercial vehicle production and manufacturing has ushered in a good momentum of development for Changjiang Automobile, which was once in trouble, and revenue is the most direct reflection. 

In 2022, Yangtze Motor achieved revenue of more than 83 million yuan, 2023 revenue of more than 200 million yuan, from January to August this year to achieve revenue of more than 500 million yuan, the year is expected to exceed 800 million yuan. 

As one of the main forces in the development of the new energy automobile industry in the province, at present, Changjiang Automobile is moving towards "building a new energy automobile industry with an annual production capacity of 55,000 pure electric trucks (commercial vehicles), forming a new energy commercial vehicle manufacturing as the core." Covering related enterprises in the new energy automobile industrial park and connecting the complete industrial chain of the upstream and downstream of new energy vehicles, the new energy automobile industrial cluster is accelerating, which is very consistent with the strategy of "electric Guizhou". 

At present, Guian New Area is seizing the development opportunities of new energy industry, focusing on building a production base for new energy vehicles, batteries and materials, and striving to build a complete industrial chain from battery material research and development to vehicle manufacturing. Nowadays, leading enterprises in the new energy industry such as Ningde Times, BYD, CRRC Times, and Zhongke Electric have landed in GUI 'an, gradually forming an industrial agglomeration advantage that drives the coordinated development of upstream and downstream enterprises by vehicle, and helping the high-quality development of Guizhou automobile manufacturing industry. 

"At present, the company is building a chain around the whole vehicle, extending the chain and strengthening the chain, and cooperating with local parts enterprises in Guizhou to jointly promote the development of the new energy automobile industry." Jin Liang said that since the beginning of this year, Yangtze Motor through the Guiyang city, Huishui County and other parts enterprises held matchmaking meetings, has signed a contract with Guiyang Outeng Machinery, Ditong Automobile, Guiyang Datong Automobile, Guizhou tire and other six enterprises supply, plan to 2 to 3 years to increase the local parts allocation rate to more than 30%, maximize the overall integration of resources. Achieve the industrial chain to move forward, drive the sustainable development of the whole industrial chain, promote the development of industrial integration clusters, and achieve industrial common prosperity. 

"We will strengthen product planning, clear product positioning, strive to improve core technology and unique advantages, and strive to build a 'fist' product with market competitiveness." Jin Liang said that at present, Changjiang Automobile is actively building the local automobile industry chain upstream and downstream enterprises exchange and cooperation platform, optimize supply chain management, promote the coordinated development of industrial chain supply chain, build the development community of upstream and downstream enterprises, deepen the cooperation with the scientific research teams of universities and institutes, promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading, optimize product quality, improve production efficiency, and increase output.
